AURORA | Charges have been filed in connection with the April death of a University of Northern Colorado student from Aurora who police say jumped from a second-story balcony at a Greeley fraternity house.
Weld Prosecutors said Friday they charged Kyle Riley, 22, of Longmont, with a misdemeanor count of providing alcohol to a minor.
Investigators say Riley provided the alcohol for the April 16 party at the Delta Tau Delta fraternity house where 19-year-old Ross Higuchi leapt from a balcony during a drunken dispute. Higuchi died a few days later.
Riley will not be arrested, prosecutors said, but will be issued a summons ordering him to appear in court. His first court date has not yet been scheduled.
