AURORA | Police are set to meet with members of the Latino community Tuesday in an effort to improve communication between the two groups, police said.
Commander Rob McGregor, who oversees District No. 1, said the forum is aimed at connecting members of the Latino community with police officers.
Representatives from local neighborhood watch groups will be on hand as well as several Spanish-speaking police officers, McGregor said.
If the event goes well, he said APD may hold more similar forums in the future.
The forum is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Therese Church’s Parish Hall, 1245 Kingston St.
