AURORA | A fire caused $50,000 in damage to an Aurora townhouse Wednesday, fire department officials said.
Nobody was injured in the blaze, which started around 4:20 p.m. in a townhouse at 11981 E. Ford Dr.
According to a statement from Aurora fire, 24 firefighters using six trucks battled the blaze and had it under control by about 4:40 p.m.
By the time crews arrived on scene, everyone in the house had fled and there was smoke coming from the second floor.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
