Found!!

Police just emailed to say Billie the dog has been returned to her owner after being nabbed during a car theft Tuesday.

The email from the police is below.

Update -

Within the last few minutes I received a call from an officer with the Arvada Police Department.  The officer confirmed that the stolen dog was located at a Pet Smart in Arvada at 56th Ave and Wadsworth Blvd. 

Video surveillance shows a female walking into the store, releasing the dog and then walking out to the stolen Honda Fit.  The female then left in the stolen car which has not been recovered at this hour. It is not clear at this time if this female is the same as the suspect in the surveillance image released today. 

The owner of the dog - Ms. Hipps - called me to confirm that the dog that was recovered by the Arvada PD officer was in fact her dog.
