Denver shooting victim from Aurora

AURORA | A woman killed in an east Denver double slaying last week was from Aurora, the Denver Medical Examiner said Friday. 
 
Cherise Houston, 25, died of a gunshot wound to the head, the medical examiner said.
Amara Kamoh Sayon, 22, of Denver, also died of a gunshot wound in the March 23 shootings in an apartment at 900 S. Quince St.


Two men and another woman were also wounded in the shootings, Denver police said.
 

According to a statement from Denver police, two black men went to the apartment that night and one of them got into an altercation with a man there. During the altercation, at least one of the two men pulled out a pistol and shot the victims.

Police said the suspects fled the scene in a dark colored car.


Police are asking anyone with information about the shootings to call 720-913-2000 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
