AURORA | The trial of a man accused of killing a north Aurora tattoo artist in 2008 has been pushed back again, according to court records.
Marquise Irvin, 26, was scheduled to go on trial starting Monday on charges he killed Oscar Mendez in late 2008 at an apartment near East 13th Avenue and Chambers Road.
But according to court records, a judge delayed the trial Thursday because some of scheduling issues with some witnesses
Irvin is now scheduled to appear in court for a setting hearing Monday, at which a new trial date will likely be set
Irvin’s trial was previously scheduled for October 2010, but a judge delayed it until March.
Three other people charged in connection with Mendez’s death have already pleaded guilty to lesser charges and were released from jail.
