AURORA | A man killed late Tuesday night outside a west Denver strip club was from Aurora, the Denver Medical Examiner said this morning.
George Valenzuela-Lopez, 34, died around 3 a.m. Wednesday from multiple gunshot wounds, a release from the medical examiner said. His death was ruled a homicide.
According to a Denver police press release posted on the Westword website, police responded to Dandy Dan’s topless bar, 214 S. Federal Blvd., around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a shooting.
There, investigators determined a fight between three people led to the shooting.
The victim was taken to Denver health Medical Center where he later died.
Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 6inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing between 150 pounds and 180 pounds. He was wearing all black clothing and last seen running east on West Cedar Avenue near the strip club.
