AURORA | A fire destroyed an Aurora duplex early Saturday morning, causing $300,000 in damage.
Nobody was hurt in the blaze at 18934 and 18924 East 16th Place. According to a statement from Aurora fire, the residents of the home were able to flee without being injured.
The fire was first reported around 6:40 a.m. Saturday.
When firefighters arrived, there was heavy smoke and flames pouring from the roof of the home.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation, the statement said.
